We are fully insured for your financial protection
We are fully insured, that is, we have both liability and Workmen’s Comp. We encourage you to check on anyone you’re considering hiring. You can verify our insurance status by calling insurance agent Robbie Clark at 557-0177 in Fuquay-Varina. Are other vendors you are considering really insured? Are they also licensed and bonded, as we are? Remember: it is not illegal for contractors to misrepresent themselves as having insurance when in fact they do not. This is a very common occurrence in North Carolina.
Are you really protected from their lawsuits? Make sure that you protect your financial assets by insisting that their insurance agent provide you with proof of both of their currently valid insurance policies – one policy for property damage and also one policy for Workmen’s Comp. Due to the relative expense of Workmen’s Comp, many contractors just skip that policy. They can do that because North Carolina law does not require companies or individuals to carry Workmen’s Compensation.
The only way to be sure of a contractor’s insurance coverage is to actually check with his insurance agent. Our experience in hiring contractors and vendors for work around our own homes and business is that well over 90% do not have Workmen’s Comp, and the lack of Workmen’s Comp places your financial assets, including home, in jeopardy.
