A trip fee of 75.00 is only charged if NC Gutter Guys, Inc. is called back to fix a supposed problem in our work but it turns out that either there is no problem, or if there is one, the problem is not one that NC Gutter Guys, Inc. has caused or is responsible for. A trip fee is seldom charged because call backs of this type do not happen very often.
Other situations where a 75.00 trip fee is charged: if NC Gutter Guys, Inc. made a recommendation, such as adding drip edge behind a gutter, and the client declined to have the drip edge installed, resulting in water dripping behind a gutter that the company installed, or if a client has not had routine maintenance performed on products that NC Gutter Guys, Inc. installed, if maintenance for that product is recommended, or needed, or is generally advisable. For instance, NC Gutter Guys, Inc. has been called several times to homes to correct recently installed gutters that “must not have been installed right because they are already overflowing,” only to discover that the open gutters in question have not been cleaned out on properties with heavy tree cover. So the high volume of falling leaves has already clogged a downspout. In cases like this a trip charge is understandable.
